Commodity Fair of SCO Countries Held in Xi’an，Shanxi

  

On September 24-26, the Commodity Fair of SCO Countries was held in Xi’an， Shanxi. Chinese State Councilor Wang Yong attended the opening ceremony and inspected some booths. Vice Minister of Commerce Fang Aiqing addressed the opening ceremony.

Fang said in his speech that the Commodity Fair of SCO Countries was proposed by President Xi Jinping in the 2014 SCO Head-of-State Summit in Duschanbe. It is the national commodity fair held by the SCO since its establishment, providing good opportunities for all countries to conduct the trade and economic exchanges.

Fang said that countries within the region have different development stages, resource endowments and industrial structures. The complementarity is strong and the potential of deepening the regional economic cooperation is great.

More than 200 enterprises and almost 400 exhibitors from 12 countries such as China, Iran, India, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan participated in the fair.
