Good morning, I feel glad to attend the 10th China-Northeast Asia Expo and the 8th High-level Forum on Northeast Asia Cooperation. First of all, on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce, I would like to extend warm welcome and sincere thanks to all of you.

Under our joint efforts, China-Northeast Asia Expo has successfully held 9 sessions. It has become an important regional exhibition brand, a significant window for China's especially old industrial bases in northeast China to open to the outside world and an important platform of regional trade and economic, diplomatic, political and people-to-people exchanges. It plays a significant role in promoting industrial cooperation, economic development and regional prosperity.

At present, the global economic recovery is very difficult, the trends of major economies were divided and the downward pressure of emerging economies increases. Northeast Asian region is also faced with severe challenges and it possesses great development potential at the same time: within this region, different countries are at different development stages with different resource endowment and different industrial structure. The economic complementarity is very strong. Insisting on regarding opening up and cooperation as the power and further promoting regional trade and investment facilitation are both conducive to all countries' strengthening interconnectivity. This realizes advantageous complementarity, jointly resists economic downturn pressure, and can make important contribution to global economic recovery. It is a significant measure to implement the "Belt and Road" strategy, jointly build development community, interests' community and responsibility community as well as seek mutual benefit and win-win result.

Ladies and gentlemen: regional economic integration has become an important trend of the development of modern world. Last year, China and South Korea took the lead to sign the free trade agreement, ushering in a new historic chapter for regional economic cooperation. Next, we will work with the relevant departments of all countries to strive to make new contribution to creating higher-level and higher-quality Northeast Asian regional economic cooperation mechanism.

China-Northeast Asia Expo held by Jilin enjoys unique advantages and Jilin province has made great efforts. I believe that the expo held here will be better and better!
