The Forum on China's Opening up and Development hosted by the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce， which is the national high-end think tank，was held in Beijing on November 22. The Forum was themed on dreaming the new era of China's opening up and development. The participants discussed the three topics such as the "Belt and Road" initiative, the free trade pilot site and the reform of the supply-side in circulation area. The Vice Minister of Commerce Fang Aiqing attended and addressed the forum.

Fang pointed out in his address that opening up is the only road of China's prosperous development. China always insists on the basic state policy of opening door to the outside world and positively participates in the international division labor and cooperation. At present, an all-dimensional, multi-layered and wide-ranging opening pattern has been formed; the open economic development has obtained great achievement, and the international status has been obviously improved. The institutional opening up, the service-centered opening up and the more proactive opening up have become the three distinctive features of China's opening up in the new era. At present, against the background of the Chinese economy's profound integration into the world economy, the Central Party Committee with d Comrade Xi Jinping as the core sets the opening up and development as one of the five development concepts which need to be firmly established. The Central Party Committee also emphasizes pursuing the win-win opening up strategy, creatively proposes the important "Belt and Road Initiative" and makes the top design for the opening up of China in the new era. Looking forward to the future, China will continue to focus on the construction of the "Belt and Road", promote the process of trade power, profoundly integrate into the global supply chain, industrial chain and value chain and constantly improve the resource allocation capacity.

The Vice Minister of Finance Hu Jinglin and the Vice Governor of Henan Zhao Jiancai attended and addressed the forum. The relevant department of the State Council such as the National Development and Reform Commission and representatives from the management organizations of free trade pilot areas of Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Tianjin and Henan and representatives from the relevant countries of the "Belt and Road" attended and addressed the forum. Experts of domestic and overseas think tanks and senior executive of multinational corporations participated in the forum.
